good morning! i have some great mags for you this week.
Fables and fabulous yarns… how can you beat a name like that?
well, how about the front cover?
Crochet World’s – ah, I still love Crochet World magazine. It’s one of the first magazines my grandmother ever got me into, way, way way back in the day, and some of my first projects came out of this magazine.
and how can you beat the ads?
one more for the road…
Good morning! I don’t have much to say, so let’s just let the photos speak for themselves, shall we?
wouldn’t every couple want those matching sweaters?
love love LOVE the granny square sweater!
Good morning! Let’s get started with this week’s vintage love, shall we?
First, another older leaflet, called Lacey’s Mohair Sweaters
one of the inside pages… makes you want to make a dickey, out of mohair, eh?
Yup, I got a little lazy here! You can see some of the magazines I’ve already shared with you
Neither of these I’ve ever seen before. I used to love mile a minute afghans, and I always love new scrap afghan patterns. The ones in both of the leaflets aren’t really inspired, though… *shrugs*
Good morning! It’s been fun taking photos and sharing all these magazines and leaflets with you! I hope you’ve enjoyed the ride, too!
This week’s favorite
LOVE that outfit! so 60s!
one of the inside designs – I really like this design! can’t you see it knit in noro?
Good morning! Once again, vintage love!
I love the vest in the top left hand mag…
Does anyone want this book? I’m not a fan of big needle knitting, it’s too heavy & hurts my arms, and I definitely am not interested in quick knit afghans… if I want a quick afghan, I’ll crochet it… I’ll take any offer for the book, but please include something for shipping! (I’ll even take scrap acrylic yarn for my charity afghans)
And my personal favorite this week, from 1949
Good morning! Here is the next week’s installment of crafty vintage leaflets, and don’t forget to check out last week’s installment of vintage craft magazines, too
Somewhere I have the loom you need to make these afghans, but I couldn’t find it. I’m pretty sure I’ve shared the loom with you when I did last year’s vintage posts.
More vintage afghan leaflets, can you imagine the amount of work must go into these?
My favorite from this week (front cover)
and the back cover
groovy man, very groovy!
and just one columbia minerva share for today
Are you sick of me sharing my Christmas goodies yet?
Well today is a quickie post, I want to share some of the miscellaneous craft goodies I received from my parents for Christmas, and then next week I’ll begin sharing all the vintage craft mags & leaflets I got!
I have some many hair pin lace looms now, I really need to play with hairpin lace!
one for me & one for my mom! I love the backpack! These kits are pretty complete, and I’ve never knit with fabric so I’m really looking forward to this one!
Also, in case you missed it, there’s still lots of time to join us in our crafty book challenge! Won’t you please join us & help spread the word?
