Today’s blog post is a knitter for all seasons: we are supposed to talk about the seasonality of our craft.
The first thing that immediately came to mind, is about how every year, right around May when it starts to really get hot, I get the urge to start an afghan. Not a throw or a baby blanket, but a big, full size afghan, usually for our bed, that always ends up a queen size afghan because if you are going to make a big afghan, you might as well make it queen size in case some day we have a bigger bed (yes, I really think that).
Or how about this one?

I always make a ton of hats in August for a charity through my mom’s job. I think, pretty much, the theme here, is that I make winter stuff year round. I hate the cold, I hate to be cold, so I guess I just want me & everyone else to be really prepared.
