So far I have made only 1 crochet project, during (and after) a class I took. It was a tote bad using triple crochet for the bag and double for the handles. It was difficult and took a long time but I love it. It has garnered many compliments. I would love to do more crochet.

Learning from a very kind older woman in my church how to double crochet.

My favorite crochet memory is learning to make twisted candy cane and wreath ornaments at christmas as a child.

I Liked Anastacia Knit Designs on Facebook. Now to check out Ravelry and Etsy to see the other designs.

Fave memory of crochet. I made an afghan for Christmas for 2 different friends. One is all brights and one in all neutrals to suit their individual style. It was the one where you go around and around and it winds up a big square. Their delight in my making personalized afghans was fabulous.

hobobird, shells & chains half circle and the top down semi circular - wow that was one effort to look and remember the name ... but I made it.

My favourite memory is my mum teaching my friend from high school how to crochet - she was so patient :-)

I also already like you on facebook.

Not sure this is my favorite memory involving crocheting but it has affected me very profoundly…. it is working on various projects (afghans for my neices) while both my mother and husband were under going chemotherapy treatment, blood transfusions, and while in hospice and how my craft of crochet got me through this time in my life.

forgot that this had to be in seperate posts my bad *blush*

Hello, My favorite crochet memory is when at 16, I won a contest with a crochet hat I made. I wish I still had the pattern I'd like to make the hat for my 17 year old daughter. Thanks for the chance to win. Linda

Hello, Beautiful crocheting. I'd pick the Beret Pattern, Anika and Hobo Bird. Thanks for the chance to win. Linda

My favorite crochet memory is sitting on the couch with my mother, her arm around me, guiding my hook as she taught me how to make a chain--it turned into a long garland for the Xmas tree!

I'd definitely pick three of your shawl patterns--not sure which yet! I love that these are crochet patterns--so often all I see are knitting ones...

My favourite crochet memory is the day I managed to do my first rows of single crochet. It wasn't that long ago. About 5 years ago I bought the Stitch & Bitch Happy Hooker book and learnt to crochet from it. It is such a great moment when it all "comes together" :D

I'd love to win Anika, Stepping Stones and hells & Chains Half Circle Shawl.

My most, well, interesting crochet memory/story is that my friend who taught me was working on an afghan for his cousin who was getting married for the 3rd time. Didn't know him at the time. Sadly, he is again divorced. But, I do know him now and he has a daughter the same age as my daughter so while his marriage was a flop we got a fun preschooler friend out of the deal. ;) Not exactly a crochet memory but that's the one that came to mind.

My memories go back to when I was 4 or 5 and I spent the afternoon watshing my grandma doing "renda" :)

Stepping Stones
Hobobird
Dudley do Wright

I would choose the xcellent scarf, the half circle shawl and the lake chargoggag shawl

I dont have many crochet memories cause I just learn it in the beginning of 2011 :)

I would choose:
- hobobird;
- Shells & Chains Slouchy Beret;
- Anika.

Thanks for the chance to win it!

I saw I should have made my favorite crochet memory a separate entry -- so with more thought, the two are not really tied. I love my grandma and miss her too but the memories I have with my husband are so dear to my heart there is really never a contest. He made the craft shows so much fun. He was always so proud of whatever I did, whether it was crochet or painting. He made us all laugh when business was slow, sometimes even breaking into song AND dance. The other crafters loved him too. He was just so much fun! He made me smile all the time. He took such an interest in my hobby it was beautiful! He made me want to do more and do it better! He was the catalyst for my learning to go beyond those first simple stitches! I mean how many men really show interest, provide encouragement and constantly compliment their wife for her crochet? I miss him so much now in every thing I do. But I also smile often at memories of him bragging on my crochet, doing a little jig to perk us up or just the loving smiles he would send my way. I love him and always will. I can't crochet without thinking of him and that is one more good thing about crochet!

I'd love to win the contest for 3 patterns from Anastacia Knits! I would choose: Anika Vest, Dudley Do Wright Shawl, and the XCellent Scarf. My most favorite memory concerning crochet is difficult to choose -- there are so many. Could I have two? I remember the week I spent with my grandma one summer when I was about 12. She taught me to crochet with thread. I made the same doily over and over. I had to tear it apart if there were mistakes. Finally, she pronounced it done! I was very proud! This memory is tied with another -- making crocheted items and taking them to my very first craft show. I didn't make a lot of money at that first show, but it was the beginning of a long and spectacular crafting business with my dear husband. He loved going to shows with me. He was so much help and we made so many frinds! Eventually he started bringing his woodwork to the shows and I shifted to decorative painting. But I always remembered my start -- CROCHET! :)

Stepping Stones, Dudley do Wright and Anika are my favorites. My raverlry id is usgypsy.

One of my favorite memories of crocheting is trying to learn from my grandmother. She was left handed and I am NOT, hence it was pretty funny. Finally she ended up saying nevermind, just tell me what you want.

I would pick the hobobird, the beret and the Italian Ice shawl. They are so pretty.

I love the beret! So classic. I also love the ice shawl and stepping stones. All so beautiful.

The three patterns I would love to have is Anika, Hobobird, Lake Chargoggag Shawl. Not sure this is my favorite memory involving crocheting but it has affected me very profoundly.... it is working on various projects (afghans for my neices) while both my mother and husband were under going chemotherapy treatment, blood transfusions, and while in hospice and how my craft of crochet got me through this time in my life.

I would pick Anika, the Dudley Shawl and the Shells and Chains beret
