hooked together

Have you been reading about “Hooked Together” on the Crochet Concupiscence blog? I have, & I think it’s a wonderful idea & I’m going to be exploring her original idea & having some fun with it. I don’t make any type of commitment like she will, I just don’t have the time to explore all of the blogs on all of the blogs I read, but I do greatly love to see other blogs being featured on other blogs & I’d like to share the love as much as I can.

So… with that in mind, I’ll try to review some of the blogs I read, & some of the blogs I’ve found through those blogs (tier 1 & tier 2 blogs) when I can, probably on Sundays since I don’t often post on Sundays. I will probably write up these posts ahead of time, so I may mention posts that will end up being a few weeks behind, but that’s just the way I roll.

Please note: Kathryn’s idea is to explore mainly crochet blogs… I’m going to be mentioning blogs I love, which involve other crafts, reading, history, cooking, etsy selling, etc. So just keep that in mind. I’ll still try to focus on crochet to keep to the general theme of “hooked together” but… I have to make the idea my own!

Want to join us? Please do! Go visit the CC blog, snag the image & link back to kathryn’s blog if you please. And let me know so I can go visit you!

I tried adding my complete list & I must be doing something wrong, the list won’t show up. but my complete list is now in my sidebar, it’s way crazy long & it is not sorted at this point. Hopefully as I go through my blogroll I’ll be able to start sorting to make it easier for others who are looking for just craft blogs, just cooking blogs, etc.

So… let’s start, shall we?
First up, I’ll talk about tier one blogs together (blogs I regularly read)
A Girl & a Glue Gun
I read this blog for the wonderful photography & commentary on life, a little time capsule of just one gal’s family life, craft life, etc. I mean, how can you pass up great photos like this?

Kimbo talks about all sorts of crafts, one of her most recent is a lego mat..

Here’s her list of blogs she loves. Lots of the blogs she likes I already know about- some are in my reader, & some I’ve visited in the past. I clicked on the ones that looked or sounded interesting (as much as I’d love to visit all of them, I can’t…)

tier 2 blogs
A love to create I immediately saw these that I thought were so cute! The writer of the blog, however, says she’s taking a break because of health reasons. So for that reason, I didn’t add to my reader but the blog’s very cute! general crafts/family/personal stuff

I’m a vintage junkie so I had to take a look at this one. Vintage ! I found a few makeover=type posts, a review about a huge local antique store (I am jealous), lots of photos From her site, I clicked on All Things Thrifty Home (tier 3 if you are keeping track – and I am quickly realizing how this project could become dangerous!)

Lots & lots of cute tutorials & quickie craft ideas (like spray painting an old pair of tarnished earrings), this is a great blog that I could spend hours looking through!

OK folks that’s all the time I have today. Stayed tune for next week when maybe I can talk about more then one tier one blog!
