I’ve had a ton of things to share lately but I did want to spend some time talking briefly & sharing some photos from our little day trip which I mentioned briefly earlier.
(warning, very photo heavy post without a lot of talk)
Sunday, May 29th (Memorial Day weekend here in the US) we went to Gloucester with my parents.
My favorite photo…

This was beautiful with all of the flags along the water & the ships in the harbor…
Hubby & I on the beach

Yes, we are wearing matching tee shirts! Jon’s wearing hand knit socks which you can’t see in the photo, but they are his patriotic red, white, & blue ones I made for him
And close up from the guys who died & then became “famous” from the movie “The Perfect Storm” with George Clooney

The statue for the women who waited sometimes in vain for the men to come home…

I stole a quick moment to knit on my lapghan

(yes, that’s an ASJ, yes I knitted it)
Hammond Castle, no relationship to the Hammond organs

(we did not tour the castle but just swung by so we could see what we could see)
And the family at the castle…

Do I look like my mom or what?
Apparantly the red building below is called “Motif Number 1″, according to my mom

so we swung by & took a photo, because we were there! This is at Rockport, which was crazy busy with people shopping
All in all a great day! And even though Mom reminded me about wearing sunscreen, I still managed to forget & we both got a little sunburnt…
